We’ve been running the Khanversation for a few months, and it’s going well so far. A few notes:
For free subscribers, please leave 5-star reviews at Apple, Spotify or subscribe on YouTube. We think the Khanversation is going to be big, but we want to accelerate it, and many people still don’t know about this podcast. Please tell friends, share on social media, etc.
If you are a paying subscriber, thanks. We’re still getting the hang of the type of content people want, and are thinking of doing more “cultural” segments (the election will happen at some point and politics may die down for a bit). Please leave a note of what you want to hear about from us. Can’t guarantee we’ll talk about something, but it may guide us in the right direction.
We’re planning on doing one podcast per week indefinitely. Or as long as podcasts are a thing. We are also going to keep the unpaid/paid tiers simple. We are never, never, never, ungating the paid stuff. But about 2/3rd to 3/4th of the content is going to be free. There’s no point in making this complicated.
In case it wasn’t clear, Josiah and myself are “IRL friends.” We even live across town from each other, and see each other every week if we’re both in Austin. Though in the same broad political alignment, there are lots of differences between us, but it’s not a big deal because we are friends. I’m hoping that people get gain some insight from our disagreements, since we’re really not in the game to scream over each other.
We may do guests at some point. Suggestions are welcome.
Also, I assume 99% of people know us, but here is my website and Josiah’s twitter handle.
I tried to subscribe here on substack, and after giving my credit card details, I'm led to the "Thank you for subscribing" page, but nothing changes! I'm not able to see the locked articles, and I still see the "Upgrade to paid" button, even though in theory I had subscribed. No charges were made to my card btw. Do you know what I could do fix this?
